It is always necessary to put your penalty takers in order, especially in cup matches and friendlies with cup mode. This can be done on the line-up menu under “Penalty takers”. You may vary your scorers, or set a default order (tick the box, and save).
If you miss doing this, beware that also your goalie might be a penalty taker aswell.
