It is always necessary to put your shooters in order, especially in cup matches and friendlies with penalty shootout. This can be done on nomination of each match under "Penalty takers". You may vary your takers, or set a default order (tick the box, and save).
If you miss doing this, beware that also your goalie might as well be a penalty taker.
